About the Role The Electrical Engineer is part of the Engineering team supporting Pelican Point Power Station and Synergen Power assets in South Australia. The team provides engineering, asset management and outage management services to support safe, reliable and efficient operations. This role focuses on the ongoing performance and integrity of electrical generation and distribution systems, contributing to the long‑term reliability and efficiency of plant assets. Key responsibilities
- Supporting the implementation of engineering standards, policies and procedures for electrical assets
- Providing technical guidance to maintenance and operations teams to support safe and reliable plant performance
- Contributing to maintenance planning, budgeting and continuous improvement of asset strategies
- Investigating plant issues and supporting the identification and implementation of practical solutions
- Assisting with the planning and coordination of outages, inspections and electrical maintenance activities
- Supporting project delivery, including scope development, contractor coordination and completion of works to required standard About You You are a qualified Electrical Engineer with experience in power generation or a heavy electrical environment, and an interest in supporting reliable and efficient operations. You value collaboration and take a thoughtful, practical approach to problem solving. Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience working with electrical systems in industrial or generation environments
- An understanding of asset management and maintenance practices for electrical equipment
- Familiarity with high, medium and low voltage systems and associated plant equipment
- Awareness of safety, environmental and regulatory requirements relevant to power generation
- Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills
- The ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities
