Offer Summary Based in the College of Science at the School of Biological Sciences, Adelaide City Campus. Full‑time, 3‑year fixed term contract. Salary Range: $81,293–$109,307 per annum (plus 17% superannuation). Role Overview Drive impactful teaching and research in plant biology, advance knowledge of native flora, support environmental sustainability and conservation outcomes, and contribute to the University’s academic excellence and research impact. The position is based within the School of Biological Sciences and involves teaching, research and supervision. Essential Qualifications
- A PhD in botany/plant biology or related field with a focus on native flora.
- Ability to deliver engaging undergraduate teaching across face‑to‑face, hybrid and online modes.
- Strong research track record in plant biology, ecology and/or physiology, with peer‑reviewed publications.
- Experience mentoring and/or supervising Honours, Masters or PhD students.
- Excellent organisational, time management, interpersonal and intercultural skills, with a team-oriented approach.
- Personal qualities aligned with values of trust, inclusivity, ambition, respect and discovery. Desirable Qualifications
- Experience contributing to external research funding applications and developing academic/industry networks in Australia.
- Commitment to Work, Health and Safety practices.
- Experience planning and conducting fieldwork, laboratory and/or greenhouse research.
