Our 140 staff in Adelaide and regional offices in Clare, Port Augusta, Whyalla, and Kadina serve more than 3,000 clients, including family businesses, small‑to‑medium businesses, and professionals. About the role: We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Agribusiness Accounting team based in Clare, South Australia. The Senior Accountant is responsible for producing and reviewing high quality taxation and business advisory work for a range of clients. The successful candidate will need strong collaboration skills and a commercial mindset. The core responsibilities will include:
- Working within the team to manage a portfolio of clients in accordance with Hood Sweeney’s service standards.
- Perform and deliver accounting, taxation and advisory services at a high‑level including preparation of financial statements and income tax returns.
- Collaborate with our other service lines to integrate seamlessly for our clients.
- Deliver high‑level strategic work to add value for our clients.
- Review work to ensure our quality standards are maintained.
- Build and share knowledge and engage in ongoing personal career growth. Ideally, you will have a minimum of three years’ experience in accounting with a mid‑tier, multidisciplinary firm, be close to completing or recently completed a CA/CPA qualification and possess demonstrable performance in an intermediate role. You will understand the specific needs of the industry and be committed to delivering high quality advice and building long‑term client relationships. Fluent knowledge of XERO is essential; additional experience in XPM will be highly regarded. What we will provide for you:
