About the Role The Accountant, School and Preschool Financial Accounting, monitors the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting for the education portfolio. This role involves consolidating school and preschool financial information, providing strategic financial accounting and system advice to departmental, school and preschool officers, ensuring that critical government financial management goals, policies, legislation and expected outcomes are met. Qualifications
- Essential: Nil.
- Desirable: Appropriate tertiary qualification in accountancy, business or commerce.
- Completion or study towards membership of a qualified accounting body or equivalent. Special Conditions Successful applicants must obtain a Department for Human Services (DHS) World Wide Child Check (WWCC) prior to employment and renew it every five years. The incumbent must undertake the RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online Fundamentals course, updating it every three years. Remuneration ASO4 $79,432 – $83,266 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading.
