Business Advisor / Management Accountant (Adelaide)

A large, complex organisation operating at a national scale is seeking an experienced Business Advisor / Senior Management Accountant to support senior leaders across a complex, publicly funded operating environment. The organisation plays a critical role in delivering services of national significance and requires robust financial stewardship, clear accountability and high quality decision support. Your new role This senior business advisory role supports executive leadership and internal stakeholders by providing high quality financial insight and advice to enable informed decision making across complex organisational activities. Key responsibilities
- Acting as a trusted financial advisor to senior leaders and operational executives
- Delivering high level management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
- Oversight of Commonwealth / DFAT grant funding, including compliance, acquittals and reporting
- Supporting financial governance across complex international and development programs
- Providing transparent, insightful variance analysis and executive level reporting
- Ensuring compliance with Australian Government financial frameworks and funding agreements
- Driving continuous improvement in financial and reporting processes This is a temporary role with an immediate start, offering strong potential to move into a permanent position. What you'll need to succeed
- CA / CPA qualification (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in senior management accounting and business partnering
- Background within Commonwealth / Federal Government, DFAT, statutory authorities, NGOs or international development organisations
- Demonstrated experience managing government grants, donor funding or public sector funding models
- Strong understanding of compliance, governance and reporting requirements
- Ability to engage and influence senior non financial stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills suited to executive and government reporting Experience working across international development, Indo Pacific programs, or grant funded initiatives will be highly regarded. What you'll get in return
