Snr electrical project manager (Adelaide)

Randstad are seeking immediate applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Senior Electrical Project Manager within a leading mining and resources organisation. Due to ongoing asset upgrades to improve project performance, this exciting contract opportunity is available. You will provide effective technical expertise and engineering governance to a range of small scale projects. Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans for capital projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards
- Manage project stakeholders, including senior internal teams, contractors, and external vendors
- Identify and mitigate project risks, develop contingency plans, and track progress effectively
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Implement and maintain project management methodologies and best practices
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular project updates and reporting
- Contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives The successful candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
- 10+ years of proven experience project managing brownfield capital projects within a mining environment
- Previous experience with HV, LV electrical and control systems
- Knowledge of electrical design, installation, and commissioning processes
- Strong understanding of mining operations, equipment, statutory and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in project management software and tools
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement
- Highly technical and detailed
- Energetic with a positive, can-do attitude Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role and preference will be given to those with mining experience.
