Security Operations Consultant Location: Adelaide, Australia Employment Type: Permanent | Full Time Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of 15–20 customers, conducting monthly security reviews, health checks, and roadmap discussions.
- Serve as the primary security contact, building strong relationships with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Translate technical security information into clear, business‑focused insights and recommendations.
- Lead workshops and maturity assessments to help customers understand and improve their security posture.
- Provide advisory across Endpoint, Email, Identity, and SIEM/SOAR technologies, ensuring alignment with best‑practice frameworks.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
- Support incident response communication and keep stakeholders aligned during security events.
- Identify areas for improvement in customer environments and contribute insights to enhance Brennan’s security services. Qualifications and Experience
- Strong communication skills; ability to explain security concepts in simple, business‑friendly language.
- Confidence engaging with a mix of stakeholders, from engineers to CFOs, building trusted customer relationships.
- Familiarity with technologies such as:
- Endpoint: SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Defender for Endpoint, Trend Vision One, Sophos
- Email: Mimecast, Proofpoint, Microsoft EOP
- Identity: Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, Privileged Access
- SIEM/SOAR: Microsoft Sentinel, Securonix, USM Anywhere or similar
- Analytical, consultative mindset; ability to interpret data, spot trends, and turn insights into practical recommendations.
- Experience in incident response, vulnerability management, or security uplift programmes is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to juggle multiple customer engagements while maintaining consistency and quality.
- People‑first approach – enjoys customer interaction more than deep technical configuration work.
- Eligible for NV1 Clearance; only Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents close to citizenship considered.
