Prince Alfred College, on behalf of the South Australian Rowing Schools, is seeking applications for the role of Head of the River Regatta Project Manager.

This is a unique prospect to lead an iconic South Australian school rowing event, working alongside a passionate and committed network of schools and their rowing communities.

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of this prestigious Head of the River Regatta.

Working collaboratively with leading rowing schools and key stakeholders, this role will oversee all aspects of event planning, coordination and execution to deliver an exceptional regatta experience for competitors, schools and the wider community.

Reporting to the Head of the School who chairs the Rowing Schools Planning Committee (currently Prince Alfred College), this role is central to ensuring the successful delivery of a regatta that reflects the shared values and standards of participating schools.

Responsibilities

Project planning and delivery, including timelines, budgets, resourcing and reporting

Stakeholder engagement across participating schools, Rowing SA and other associated sponsors and suppliers

Event coordination, overseeing all aspects of the Head of the River event

Event operations, logistics and hospitality

Collaboration and governance working closely with the four organising schools, their volunteers and Rowing SA officials

Communication and promotion of the event

The position is a fixed‐term, part‐time role working 0.20 FTE, with flexibility of hours.

The ideal applicant will be someone with exceptional project management skills as well as a passion for rowing.
