Vacancy Published: 1 day ago Overview of role:
- Perform routine & non‑routine analysis (GC‑MS, GC‑FID, HPLC) of samples in accordance with documented procedures. (or ICP, depending on the lab you are placed in)
- Troubleshoot GC/HPLC instrumentation (e.g., column changes)
- Assist in generating accurate, timely sample and QC data aligned with client expectations and the company’s QMS
- Maintain ISO 17025 accreditation by following strict testing guidelines
- Meet deadlines with commercial awareness in workload prioritisation
- Assist in maintenance programmes for department‑specific analytical instrumentation and other equipment
- Ensure instruments are kept clean and serviceable; keep routine in‑house maintenance procedures updated
- Maintain, store and label adequate stocks of reagents and standards
- Consult the Divisional Manager when turnaround deadlines cannot be met The Person:
- Hold a degree in a relevant scientific discipline (ideally Chemistry)
- Have exposure to HPLC, GC/MS or ICP in your degree or experience in a UKAS 17025 (or similar high‑throughput setting)
