The Shire of Gnowangerup is seeking a motivated and diligent General Hand/Plant Operator to join our Infrastructure and Assets team. This hands‑on role is responsible for supporting the delivery of operational, maintenance, and construction activities across the Shire's infrastructure and community assets. This is an exciting chance to contribute to the maintenance and development of community infrastructure and is suitable for a motivated and reliable team player who wishes to embark on a career in local government. The position description for this role can be found HERE. About the Role You will be responsible for:
- Labouring, maintenance, and operational tasks across the Shire’s road network, drainage systems, parks and gardens, waste facilities, and community infrastructure
- Assisting with road maintenance and construction activities including patching, grading support, gravel works, drainage installation, signage, and vegetation control
- Assisting with traffic management and worksite setup in accordance with relevant requirements and procedures (if holding relevant qualifications)
- Carrying out general maintenance, cleaning, rubbish collection, and depot duties as required
- Assisting with maintenance and upkeep of Shire buildings, facilities, reserves, and public open spaces What We Offer
