As a Legal Support Professional, you will work across our global practice areas – International Capital Markets, Corporate, Disputes, Banking, and Intellectual Property – collaborating on projects in multiple jurisdictions. About the Role The Advanced Delivery Legal (ADL) team in Perth is recruiting Legal Support Professionals for the 2026 intake, commencing February/March 2026. This permanent role is ideal for recent law graduates who are passionate about building a long‑term career in the legal industry.
It offers hands‑on legal work, structured development, and a supported pathway toward qualification as a practising lawyer within A&O; Shearman. Training Upon commencement you will receive an induction training program followed by a six‑week Business Law Training Module, and ongoing professional development. The program equips you with the skills to work across jurisdictions and support our legal technology initiatives. Role and Responsibilities
- Become proficient in Litigation e‑Discovery platforms
- Prepare bank syndicate lending documentation
- Conduct company searches and corporate reviews
- Join product‑group specific teams (e.g., company incorporations, ICM checklists)
- Review documents for litigation, arbitration, or regulatory investigations
- Work with Legal Technology generally – testing, trialling tools, and pipeline technology
- Perform legal research Key Requirements
- Completed law degree or close to completion, available to work full time from February 2026
- Complete the six‑week Business Law Training Module and pass the related exam upon commencement
- Professional manner with high levels of commercial awareness, analytical skills, and critical thinking
- Detail‑focused and self‑motivated
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, able to manage multiple deadlines Key Relationships
- Partners, Senior Associates, and other colleagues across A&O; Shearman’s global network
- Head of Office (ADL)
- Global Head of Legal Services Centre (LSC), Head of Belfast LSC, other Senior and Managing Associates
