ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a compassionate and committed Student Support Officer – Wellbeing (Early Childhood and Primary School) to join our vibrant school community. This position is part-time (0.6 FTE) with a commencement date Term Three, 20 July 2026 or by negotiation. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of students. As the Student Support Officer – Wellbeing, you will provide a practical, emotional and pastoral support to help students successfully engage in learning and school life. This role provides early intervention, informal support, mentoring, co-regulation, supervision and practical student wellbeing assistance within the School environment. Working closely with our Early Childhood and Primary School teams, you will play a key role in supporting students to develop resilience, regulate emotions and build positive relationships. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Student wellbeing and responsive support
- Behavioural engagement and re-entry support
- Student support planning and case management
- Targeted wellbeing programs
- Collaboration and pastoral care

- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to build positive, respectful relationships with students
- Practical skills in emotional regulation and behaviour support
- A collaborative and proactive approach Relevant qualification, ie Youth Work, Counselling, Psychology or similar and training in trauma-informed practice, restorative practices, Mental Health First Aid, positive behaviours support and protective behaviours will be highly regarded.
