Maintenance Officer (Albany)

Role Overview Maintenance Officer – ALS Geochemistry, Malaga. Full‑time, 7:00am – 3:00pm. Responsibilities include small mechanical repairs, carpentry, fabrication, and general maintenance duties within a laboratory environment. The role offers comprehensive on‑the‑job training and promotes a strong safety culture under ALS HSE policies. Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive and reactive maintenance on laboratory equipment.
- Conduct small mechanical repairs, carpentry, and fabrication tasks.
- Communicate promptly with section supervisors and Facilities Management about equipment issues or downtime.
- Maintain compliance with ALS HSE policies and promote a strong safety culture.
- Manage a busy and diverse workload independently or as part of a team. Qualifications
- Experience using power tools and equipment – either professional or personal.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Welding and fabrication experience highly regarded.
- Carpentry skills highly regarded.
- Excellent work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Current C‑class driver's licence.
- Strong communication skills.
