As our Learning and Development Business Partner, you’ll design and deliver learning that supports people across this breadth of roles and services. Reporting to the Team Leader, Talent and Organisational Development, you’ll work in a small, collaborative team alongside a Learning Advisor, partnering with leaders to plan and deliver learning that builds capability where it matters most. You’ll support upcoming financial year learning program planning, contribute to the evaluation and future direction of leadership development programs, and embed our capability framework into learning, talent and workforce development initiatives. The role includes program and policy design, development of internal‑led training based on needs analysis, confident facilitation of learning activities, and practical use of learning systems and data to promote learning and support compliance. If you bring experience in learning program design, are comfortable facilitating groups, enjoy variety, and want to make a tangible impact across a diverse local government workforce, this role offers meaningful work, influence and collaboration. What you’ll work on in your first 6–12 months
- Contributing to annual corporate, compliance and leadership learning program planning
- Supporting the evaluation of leadership development programs and shaping recommendations for future delivery
- Designing and delivering internal‑led training programs based on organisational needs analysis
- Embedding the capability framework into learning pathways and talent development initiatives
- Reviewing and updating learning and development policies and supporting program documentation
- Using the LMS and learning dashboards to promote learning opportunities and monitor compliance training completion
- Building strong partnerships with leaders across a wide range of operational and professional areas Qualifications and experience
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Training and Development or related field
- Demonstrated experience in learning and development, organisational development or human resources within a complex organisation. Hours Based on a 35 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines. Benefits Live and work in a culture-rich location minutes from the Murray River, just a short drive to one of Victoria’s best wine regions and with the ski fields so close you will be zooming down the mountains in under two hours.
