About the role This is a energetic, sales‑focused position for someone who loves building relationships and driving commercial outcomes. Reporting to the Regional Director, Murray–Riverina, you’ll lead the development and execution of our regional membership and partnership growth strategy. Your goal? To deliver new members, renew existing ones, and secure sponsorships that fuel our events, advocacy, and influence across the region. You’ll work closely with local business leaders, sponsors, and government stakeholders connecting them with the insights, advocacy, and opportunities that make Business NSW the most trusted voice for business in the state. What you’ll do
- Sell and grow membership in the Business NSW “Regional First” and “Regional Leaders” programs.
- Identify and secure new sponsorships and partnerships that generate revenue and long‑term relationships.
- Engage and retain existing members, ensuring they see measurable value in their membership.
- Represent Business NSW at key business events, networking functions, and regional forums.
- Create commercial proposals, manage budgets, and report on sales and sponsorship performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the state to align initiatives and share best practice. What we’re looking for
- Proven success in sales, business development, or partnerships ideally in B2B, events, or membership organisations.
- A natural relationship‑builder with strong influencing and communication skills.
- Commercially savvy, goal‑oriented, and motivated by achieving targets.
- Skilled in CRM systems, pipeline management, and reporting.
- Knowledge of regional business environments and a genuine passion for helping them thrive.
- Flexibility to attend after‑hours networking and events (it’s where the action happens!).
