Medical Specialist Accountant (City of Albury)

By providing practical advice, financial clarity and strategic guidance, you will help doctors focus on patient care. Key Responsibilities
- Review work papers and ensure appropriate evidence is documented.
- Apply knowledge of the client’s business environment and industry positioning.
- Share best practices, industry trends and knowledge with the team to increase overall expertise.
- Communicate with managers and partners on workflow and staff performance matters.
- Review work of junior team members.
- Ensure processing of information into the firm’s systems is properly recorded.
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with all current legal and accounting reporting standards.
- Identify, research and resolve complex accounting issues.
- Analyse management accounting reports and provide advice to clients.
- Review income tax returns for individuals, companies, super funds, partnerships and trusts.
- Deliver complex tax planning for clients. Education and Experience
- Business/Commerce degree with an accounting major.
- CA or CPA qualified.
- 5+ years of public practice experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Robust attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Committed to continuing professional development.
- Desirable: previous team‑management experience.
