Senior Accountant – Business Services & Advisory (City of …, City of Albury

An exceptional opportunity exists for an experienced Accountant (Senior Manager) to join a progressive medium-sized CA firm Business Advisory team in Albury Wodonga. You’ll work closely with SMEs, private family groups, and high-net-worth individuals across a wide range of industries — helping them make confident decisions, grow sustainably, and achieve their goals. This is a role for someone who wants to go beyond compliance. You’ll become a trusted advisor, building meaningful client relationships, solving complex challenges, and contributing to their long-term success. You will not need to do any accounts processing – this is all handled for you. You’ll also be supported by a national network of professionals who value collaboration, innovation, and career growth. What you will do
- Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering exceptional service and strategic insights
- Lead client discussions and provide tailored business and tax advisory solutions
- Review complex financial statements, tax returns, and group consolidations
- Advise on key tax planning and structuring matters, including Div 7A, CGT, FBT, and GST
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence
- Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and quality standards
- Contribute to business development activities and strengthen client relationships
- Identify process improvements and drive positive change within the team What we want
- CA/CPA qualified, with solid experience in an Australian public practice environment
- Strong technical expertise in business services, compliance, and advisory
- Commercially minded with a genuine curiosity about clients’ businesses
- Skilled communicator with robust analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Leadership experience with the ability to coach and inspire others
- Proactive, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement
- Confident using digital tools and cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, MS Office) What’s on Offer
