Medical Receptionist Longwarry (Australia)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team of Doctors and Medical Receptionists at our General Practice.

Main Job Duties and Responsibilities

Greeting, assisting and registering new patients,

Handling telephone enquiries and making appointments

Processing payments and Medicare claims

Scanning documents

Strong customer service focus

Confident and energetic

Reliability and a strong work ethic

Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.

Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.

Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.

Deal with incoming and outgoing post

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

MUST BE versatile with work hour

Following up on outstanding results and correspondence

General administrative duties as required

Assist with accounts and records

Use Eftpos terminal

Maintaining skilled rapport with all patients and health professionals

Initial contact point for patient problems and complaints

Any duties requested of the employee by a doctor or a senior staff member

Any other duties as requested by a doctor and practice manager

Strong work ethic & attention to detail

Deal with incoming and outgoing pos

Complete other clerical duties as assigned

Maintain stock of forms and office supplies

Ensure reception area is well maintained, neat and clean

Qualifications, skills and experience, essential

Experience with Medical Director or Best Practice is preferred

Able to work under pressure and in a fast paced workplace:

Organisational and time management skills

Excellent communication skills

Self motivated and able to show strong leadership skills

Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment

Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn

Flexible with hours and days when required
