Library assistant (Australia)

Permanent Part-time (3 days per week, ideally Tuesday to Thursday) position with free onsite parking. Remuneration commensurate with Academic level. Respond to enquiries at the library desk, by phone, or email Assist users in navigating library services, databases, and online resources. Support staff and students in locating physical and electronic library materials efficiently. Help users with common access issues. Selection Criteria for permanent full-time role Qualifications and Professional Standing:
• Relevant post-secondary qualification or equivalent experience/training in a Library related field. Essential: Committed Christian involved in a local congregation. Experience working in a Library Assistant role or equivalent would be an advantage. Experience in a higher education setting (or equivalent) would be an advantage. Basic understanding of higher education practices and library/administrative processes. Competent in common desktop applications to support daily tasks and straightforward reporting. Effective oral and written communication skills for routine interaction with staff and students. Able to organize workload, follow instructions, and meet set deadlines.
