We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team and help us continue to provide exceptional dining experiences to our customers. Job Description: As a Chef at Sammy's Pizza and Family Restaurant, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring that they are of high quality and presented in a visually appealing manner. You will work closely with our kitchen team to create new and exciting menu items, while also maintaining our signature dishes that have made us a favourite among locals and tourists alike. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes according to menu specifications and recipes
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following food safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create recent and innovative menu items
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures Requirements:
- Certificate IV in commercial cookery or above
- Minimum of 12 months of experience as a Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Creative and passionate about food
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
