Manager OHS (Hobsons Bay City)

Gruyere Gold Mine is seeking an experienced and influential safety leader to take on the role of Manager OHS, leading the site-wide Safety, Health, Emergency Services, and Security functions across a large-scale and technically complex mining operation. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for shaping and driving the site's safety strategy, ensuring solid alignment between operational performance, workforce capability, and a culture built on visible leadership and accountability. Key Responsibilities
- Shape and implement the site safety strategy.
- Ensure alignment of safety with operational performance and workforce capability.
- Strengthen critical risk management and reinforce leadership capability.
- Develop high‑performing teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure Occupational Health & Safety, Emergency Services, Security and Occupational Hygiene systems, standards and governance frameworks support safe and sustainable operational outcomes.
- Partner with site and corporate stakeholders to deliver integrated safety outcomes while supporting operational priorities and long‑term business objectives. Required Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline;
- Substantial leadership experience within mining operations;
- Experience leading safety functions within mining or heavy industry environments;
- Strong capability in risk management, regulatory compliance, contractor management and workforce engagement;
- Demonstrated ability to influence across all levels of an organisation. Benefits
