Disability Support Worker Inner West Annandale

This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about fostering independence in others, as the role involves providing tailored support in areas such as community engagement, employment assistance, and skill development in cooking, budgeting and social interactions.

A compassionate, non-judgemental attitude, particularly towards those who have interacted with the justice system and are currently under parole restrictions is needed.

Applicants should be available for weekday shifts (6hrs) shared across a team and may include occasional evenings for social support activities, with rosters provided 4 weeks in advance

Casual SCHADS Award Weekday rate of $43.23 to $44.59 depending on qualifications and experience.

Mandatory Compliance: Right to work in Australia Accredited Cert III or higher in Mental Health/Disability/Community services Current NDIS Worker Screening Check Working With Children Check Current First Aid including CPR Valid Driver's Licence & Vehicle with full comprehensive insurance NDIS Worker Orientation Module Infection Control Training Manual Handling Certificate Food Handling Certificate Essential Skill Requirements: Demonstrated experience (6 months), knowledge and understanding of people living with disabilities Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Experience providing respectful supports within a person's home and a range of settings
