Purchasing Officer (Booragoon)

As our Purchasing Officer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring every project has the right materials ordered, the right trades booked and the right deliveries scheduled — before they’re required on site. Working across multiple residential builds, you’ll coordinate closely with site teams, suppliers and schedulers to keep projects moving and avoid delays. This is a structured, process-driven role where accuracy, communication and forward planning are critical. You’ll play a key part in the success of each build by making sure nothing is missed and everything arrives when it should. Granny Flats WA is a family-owned Perth builder with over 20 years’ experience delivering granny flats, renovations and extensions. We are growing and looking for a Purchasing Officer who thrives on organisation, accuracy and ownership. This is an office-based role where you will ensure materials, trades and deliveries are in place across multiple residential projects — so nothing is delayed and everything runs as planned. What You’ll Do
- Review plans and confirm material quantities and scope
- Obtain quotes and issue purchase orders to suppliers and trades
- Confirm delivery timings and trade availability ahead of schedule
- Align procurement with construction programmes and timelines
- Manage supplier and subcontractor relationships
- Track orders, resolve discrepancies and manage supply risks
- Communicate proactively with site teams and internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records across systems (Excel, project software) About You
- Experience in purchasing, procurement or materials coordination
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator who follows things through
- Able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Robust Excel and general system skills
