Geotechnician/Soil Technician (Armidale)

Our construction materials testing business is growing and we are searching for motivated Geotechnicians to join our Armidale Laboratory. THE ROLE In your role as Geotechnician, you will report directly to the Laboratory Manager and undertake a variety of field and laboratory sampling and testing of soils, aggregates and concrete. The position requires you to work unsupervised at times and liaise directly with clients onsite. You may also be required to assist in our Nambucca Valley Laboratory, when needed, so willingness to travel is essential. The successful applicant will posses the following;
- Current Drivers Licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen The below attributes are advantageous but not essential;
- 1-5 years industry experience
- Current Nuclear Gauge Use Licence
- Current Construction Industry White Card EXPERIENCE Whilst the below listed experience is favourable it is not essential. Training will be provided for the right person.
- Field and laboratory testing of Aggregates, Soils and Concrete
- Level 1 and 2 inspection and testing in accordance with AS3798
- Use of nuclear moisture density gauge This is a casual position with further opportunities available as the business continues to grow. The hourly pay rate will depend on you experience and will be in line with the Award. Work Remotely
