Position Title: High School Learning Enrichment Support – Teacher Assistant Temporary Fixed Term Contract- Part Time (up to 0.50 FTE) Start Date: Term 3 until Friday 4th December 2026 (Terms 3 & 4) Location: Noosa Pengari Steiner School, 86 Nyell Road, Doonan Learning and Enrichment Overview Working under the guidance of High school teachers and the High School Learning Support Teacher with the philosophy and principles of Steiner Education, the High School Learning Enrichment Support – Teacher Assistant role assists the Teacher to implement the class program and curriculum, to support children to participate as fully as possible in the program and to develop in all areas. Learning enrichment offers either 1:1 or small academic group work to enrich the children’s gifts and challenges. Some challenges may be temporary, needing brief period of support and adjustments, whilst other challenges may be more long term or ongoing. Our aim is to have a balanced approach. All support and therapeutic work are underpinned by the philosophy of the whole child and the pedagogy of Rudolf Steiner. The High School Enrichment Support – Teacher Assistant role has a strong commitment to and understanding of duty of care, participate actively in the life of the school community, and are committed to ongoing individual and collaborative career development. Key Selection Criteria:
- Previous experience working in a learning support environment.
- A willingness to engage with Steiner’s approach to Pedagogy and child development.
- Patience, equanimity, enthusiasm, flexibility, and the ability to communicate well with staff, children and parents.
- A willingness to receive instruction and feedback, and to work collaboratively. Qualifications and Requirements
- Certificate IV in school-based Education Support.
- Current First Aid and CPR Qualifications or a willingness to obtain.
- A Blue Card or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement of employment.
