Franchise Legal Officer - Property (Lane Cove)

About the Business

Our client is a well-established national real estate franchise head office based in Sydney. Due to continued growth across their network, they are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Franchise Legal Officer to join their corporate team. This is a unique chance to work at the centre of a leading real estate franchise business, where legal, operations and business strategy are closely aligned.

About the Role

- Prepare and manage franchise documentation across new, renewal, transfer and exit agreements across multiple entities and brands
- Draft, review and tailor legal agreements and clauses ensuring they are commercially sound and compliant
- Support dispute resolution and litigation matters including preparing briefs, coordinating documentation and liaising with external counsel
- Provide legal support and correspondence directly to the CEO and Group CEO
- Conduct legal research and deliver clear, practical insights to support business decisions
- Identify legal and litigation risks, supporting proactive risk management across the network
- Maintain a high standard of document management and electronic filing systems About You

- Experience in a paralegal or law clerk role within an in-house legal team or private practice
- Strong drafting capability with the ability to create and adapt contractual clauses
- Background in franchising law (essential)
- Exposure to litigation or dispute resolution matters with a solid understanding of legal processes
- Experience in business conveyancing, leasing, intellectual property or shareholder agreements (advantageous)
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance legal compliance and practical business outcomes
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- Proactive and solutions-focused, comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team
- Proficient across Office 365, DocuSign and related platforms Benefits
