Fashion Designer This is a great opportunity to gain insight into the fashion industry and the garment production life cycle from design to store. You will work alongside our Production & Design team at Head Office. Valuable communication skills & an enthusiastic attitude are a must. Experience in fashion industry. Understand national, international current trends and ability to analyse and present to the consumers. Effectively run fit sessions and make sure fitting for all garments are accurate. Familiar with all tech pack creation and maintenance, such as technical packs, style sheets, artwork, colour approvals and measurements.Approval of fabric submissions from sample stage to bulk production whilst meeting strict deadlines. Work closely with manufacturers from the stages of design, sampling, corrections and bulk production. Great communication skills and team work. Experience and Skils Experience in assisting in all aspects of design from concept to sampling to final production is desirable.
- Ability to interpret fashion trends for fast fashion industry.
- Knowledge of and experience with garment construction.
- A tertiary qualification in Fashion Design is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge and analytic skills.
- Minimum of 3 year in a similar role.
- Experience in assisting in all aspects of design from concept to sampling to final production is desirable.
- Knowledge of the fashion and fabric industry.
- Understanding of graphic art, colours, fabrics, trim and fit.
- Be fashion-forward and trend-focused.
- Excellent time management skills.
