Barre Instructor (Lane Cove)

We’re looking for an inspiring Barre Instructor to lead energetic, low-impact barre classes that fuse elements of Pilates, dance, yoga, and strength training. This role is perfect for a confident instructor who thrives in a premium environment and loves helping others build strength, grace, and confidence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Class Delivery Teach safe, engaging, and well-structured Barre classes for all fitness levels Provide clear instruction on form, alignment, and movement execution Offer modifications and progressions to suit individual needs Member Engagement Create a welcoming and empowering studio environment Arrive prepared and engage with members before and after class Promote a positive member experience and encourage class retention and participation Represent FIT’s luxury service standards in every interaction Professional Standards Stay informed on current fitness trends and Barre best practices Maintain impeccable presentation and studio readiness Uphold health and safety protocols at all times Collaborate with the Group Fitness team and support FIT’s holistic wellness culture QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Certification in Barre instruction or recognised group fitness certification (e.g. Barre Above, BootyBarre, Xtend Barre, Les Mills Barre, etc.) CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain) Prior Barre teaching or related group fitness classes preferred Strong knowledge of body mechanics and functional movement Excellent communication,motivational, and interpersonal skills A passion for wellness and a professional, team-oriented approach WHAT WE OFFER Competitive pay, including leadership and mentorship bonuses Opportunities for professional development and continuing education A collaborative, supportive, and inspiring studio environment Complimentary or discounted classes across FIT’s luxury wellness offerings Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunity for ongoing career development Access to studio facilities and classes (where applicable) We strive to continually lead with our values and beliefs that enable our FIT people to develop their potential, bring their full self to the workplace, and engage in a world of inclusion.
