Artificial Intelligence Engineer (St Leonards)

An opportunity to join a high-growth AI consultancy building real-world generative AI and agent-based solutions for enterprise clients within the Private AI space. This is not a research-heavy role, it’s hands-on engineering, building and deploying AI products that actually get used. The role: You’ll join a team focused on building and deploying enterprise-grade AI applications, working across both engineering delivery and client-facing solutions. This role centres on developing LLM-powered applications and AI agents that automate workflows, integrate into existing systems, and drive measurable business outcomes. You’ll be involved end-to-end, from shaping initial concepts and prototypes through to delivering production-ready solutions for clients across a range of industries. Expect a strong mix of:
- Hands-on full stack development
- Applied AI / LLM integration
- Workflow automation and system integration
- Client collaboration and solution design You’ll also work closely with business stakeholders, helping organisations move from early AI experimentation into scalable, production-level deployments that have real operational impact. Key focus areas:
- Build full stack AI applications with a strong Python backend
- Integrate and deploy LLM-powered features into live products
- Work across OpenAI, Hugging Face, Semantic Kernel
- Create client-facing prototypes and demos
- Automate workflows using Power Platform
- Contribute to end-to-end AI delivery across consulting engagements What you bring:
- 3+ years in full stack engineering
- Strong exposure to AI / LLMs / generative AI tooling
- Experience building production-ready applications (not just POCs)
- Cloud experience (Azure preferred)
- Ability to work directly with stakeholders and translate business needs into solutions Why consider it:
