In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, programming, and optimising laser cutting jobs using CAD/CAM software to ensure efficient production and high-quality outcomes. You will work closely with production staff and management to deliver precision components across a variety of industries. Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify CAD drawings for laser/plasma cutting operations
- Program CNC laser/plasma cutting machines using CAD/CAM software
- Interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications
- Optimise material usage and cutting efficiency
- Support production scheduling and workflow improvements
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in CNC programming and CAD drafting
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software
- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and laser cutting processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
