Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are retained to work with a leading medical industry participant as they seek a full time, ongoing **ICT Security Specialist**, who, along with the IT teams, will work to ensure the highest standard security and availability strategies in place as they work with internal clients and external users of their excellent software solutions to ensure preventive and recovery strategies are in place, to minimise the risk of internal and external security threats. **Location**:Baywater Vic

**Salary range**:$70,000- $90,000 plus super per annum

**Responsibilities will include but not limited to**:

- Working with internal and external clients, maintain and develop guidelines policies and procedures.
- Conduct system audits, performance analysis, system firmware/software upgrades and preventive maintenance as required.
- Install, configure, test and commission network intrusion detection and surveillance systems.
- As required, provide input into firewall planning, installation, and management of the client’s electronic security network
- Installing and configuring electronic security network devices and systems
- Design and implementation of network redundancy to maintain system availability, resilience, and redundancy to ensure desired up time.
- Configure routers, switches, firewalls, build servers, setup virtualization environments
- Research and identify security trends that may present emerging risks to the company.

- Solid verifiable IT related security skillset
- As a client facing security professional, professional well-developed writing skills and experience creating and maintaining technical documentation

**To be successfully considered for the role, you offer**
- Degree (or better) in a highly relevant field of study.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant IT roles and environments.
- Previous experience in ICT security roles, preferably within the broader health community / industry
- Knowledge or exposure to some regulatory bodies, such as NDIS, Medicare, Health funds in general, and health professionals
- Solid technical, problem-solving and communication skills, including some exposure to Hummingbird solutions.
- Working knowledge of Windows clients, and Linux network hardware and OS.
