Purchasing Coordinator (Bayswater)

Purchasing Coordinator | Design Sheet Metal (Bayswater, VIC) About the Role Design Sheet Metal is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to support our daily operations and keep things running smoothly. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work across purchasing, supplier coordination, and customer service — no two days are the same. You’ll play a key part in ensuring materials arrive on time, orders are accurate, and customers receive a seamless experience. Key Responsibilities
- Raise and manage purchase orders with approved suppliers
- Ensure accuracy across pricing, quantities, and order details
- Track orders and manage supplier lead times
- Communicate updates with customers and internal teams
- Resolve delivery issues, shortages, or discrepancies quickly
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate where required
- Support the sales team with quotes, orders, and follow-ups
- Provide professional customer service via phone, email, and in person
- Assist across the business as needed in a rapid-paced environment About You
