Mechanical Assembly Fitter Bayswater

We are an established engineering company based in Bayswater, specialising in the manufacture of hydraulic quick hitches supplied to the , earthmoving, construction, mining, and agriculture industries.

Due to robust growth, we are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Fitter to join our workshop team.

This is an exciting assembly role within a growing company, with plans to double production over the next 12 months, offering strong job security and the prospect to grow alongside the business.

About the Role

This position involves the assembly and fitting of hydraulic quick hitches and related earthmoving components in a workshop environment.

You do not need to be a qualified tradesperson; however, you must have practical experience working with hydraulic and mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities include Assembly of hydraulic and mechanical components Fitting hydraulic hoses, cylinders, pins, and hardware Reading and following basic engineering drawings and instructions Conducting quality checks and basic functional testing Secure operation of workshop equipment Maintaining a clean and organised workspace

Skills & Experience

Essential: Sound understanding of basic hydraulic systems and mechanical applications Current Forklift Licence Understanding of basic lifting and rigging techniques Mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand and power tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Desirable (but not essential): Understanding of welding and fabrication processes Understanding of 12- and 24-volt circuits Experience in heavy manufacturing or engineering environments

This role would suit someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical projects, such as working on cars, motorbikes, or machinery as a hobby, and is looking to apply those skills in a professional engineering environment.
