About the Role We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Airworthiness Engineer to join our Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) team in Perth. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone wanting to build a long-term career in aviation airworthiness and maintenance planning. In this role, you will support continuing airworthiness activities, maintain accurate technical records, assist with maintenance planning and compliance tasks, and work closely with experienced engineers and planners to help keep our fleet safe, compliant and operational. What You’ll Be Doing
- Support aircraft continuing airworthiness activities in line with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with maintenance planning, including tracking scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Update and maintain aircraft records airworthiness directives and service bulletins.
- Assist with reliability reporting, defect tracking and day-to-day airworthiness administration.
- Liaise with maintenance providers, suppliers and internal teams.
- Support audits and compliance activities within the CAMO function.
- Maintain accurate documentation and data across systems. Skills and Experience Essential Requirements
- Completion of secondary education to Year 12 level or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- A current ASIC or the ability to obtain one.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a methodical approach to work. Desirable
- A genuine interest in aviation engineering, airworthiness or maintenance planning.
- A relevant tertiary qualification, or current study, in aviation, engineering or a related field.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- The ability to analyse information and work methodically.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
