Your Day on A Page Our team are currently seeking a Maintenance Officer to join our friendly close-knit team, on a Full-time basis. No weekend work! Keperra Sanctuary offers a rare blend of tranquillity and convenience, set within 100 acres of native gardens, that bring the beauty of nature right to your doorstep. Tree-lined streets create a peaceful, homely atmosphere, while the freshwater lake adds a touch of serenity to daily life. As a Maintenance Officer at Keyton you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by undertaking maintenance activities and providing excellent customer service to our residents. We are seeking a proactive individual with strong communication skills, strong computer skills and a knack for problem-solving. At Keyton, we are one team, and our Maintenance Officer will embody our values every day:
- Connect as One Team: Work closely with other team members to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed effectively, whilst maintaining open lines of communication with residents, management, and other staff to address maintenance issues promptly
- Realise the Opportunities: Identify and address potential maintenance issues before they become problems, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment.
- Make Room for Kindness: Treat all residents with respect and kindness, addressing their maintenance concerns with empathy and understanding.
- Find the Fun: Approach daily tasks with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, making the work environment enjoyable for everyone.
- Lead with Heart: Perform all duties with integrity and honesty, ensuring transparency in all maintenance activities.
About You The successful applicant will have demonstrated competence as a maintenance assistant or tradesperson or experience in a similar role, as well as:
- Be organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
- Effective communication skills
- Be computer literate e.g. basic knowledge with using Excel, Word, Outlook, Apps
- Understanding of machinery use and tools required for the job
- Hold a current Australian Drivers licence
- A current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one)
- The ability to take initiative and be pro-active
- The ability to work individually and in a team
