Sous Chef (Moorabool Shire)

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Full Time Sous Chef to join the PLG team at Stoney's Club in Maddingley . You will oversee daily operations, manage kitchen staff, and ensure consistent food quality. If you're ready to step into a leadership role, this is a great opportunity for you! Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in managing and training a diverse kitchen team.
- Implement and manage Food Safety Plans.
- Prepare and cook menu as per cooking guidelines and set standards.
- Work in conjunction with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus.
- Ensure all food safety procedures are being followed. The role you are applying for may be quite quick-paced and require you to complete tasks including but not limited to lifting boxes, kegs or stock, standing for long periods of time, and utilising stairs. Qualifications
- Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Food Handlers Certificate.
- Experience working in a pub/bistro fast-paced environment
- Well-versed in all kitchen areas with hands‑on experience.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to follow and give directions when required.Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
