Sous Chef Bacchus Marsh

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Full Time Sous Chef to join the PLG team at Stoney's Club in Maddingley. You’ll oversee daily operations, manage kitchen staff, and ensure consistent food quality. If you’re ready to step into a leadership role, this is a great prospect for you!

Stoney’s is located in beautiful Bacchus Marsh Victoria, approximately 50km west of Melbourne. Set on the edge of the Werribee River, the hotel captures the tranquility of the town’s traditional relaxed garden market character.

What will my duties include?

Support the Head Chef in managing and training a diverse kitchen team.

Implement and manage Food Safety Plans.

Prepare and cook menu as per cooking guidelines and set standards.

Work in conjunction with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus.

Ensure all food safety procedures are being followed.

What we are looking for:

Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)

Food Handlers Certificate.

Experience working in a pub/bistro quick‑paced workplace

Well‑versed in all kitchen areas with hands‑on experience.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Ability to follow and give directions when required.

Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
