Position: Casual Commis Chef We are looking for a friendly and experienced individual to join the kitchen team ahead of a busy season. As the Commis Chef, you will be responsible for preparing, producing and presenting all foods according to standard recipes and as directed, and for providing a superior customer experience. Responsibilities
- Place highest importance to food safety and hygiene of food preparation as outlined in the HACCP principles and the local guidelines for catering establishments.
- Prepare, produce and present all foods in accordance with identified food hygiene and health & safety standards, commonly accepted in the catering industry.
- Display eagerness to increase food knowledge and skills.
- Strive to minimise food wastage.
- Provide an exceptional guest experience.
- Audit kitchen stock & grocery lines daily & order stock as required. Qualifications
- Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., Commercial Cookery).
- Previous food & beverage experience in a hotel/resort environment and/or commercial kitchen.
- Hold a Food Safety Handlers Certificate.
- A desire to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
- An adaptive mindset and vision to deliver a quality product.
- Attention to detail and passion for food quality, presentation and consistency.
- Punctual, reliable and presentable, with excellent grooming standards, professionalism and reliability.
- The ability to work a flexible roster, inclusive of evenings, weekends and public holidays. Benefits
