Security Monitoring Centre Operator – Ballarat

The Security Monitoring Centre Operator’s primary objective is to skilfully, accurately and efficiently support Sectrol’s monitoring operations. Through proficient use of Sectrol’s Patriot monitoring system, the Security Monitoring Centre Operator needs to professionally interact with key stakeholders (including, monitored customers, Sectrol installations technicians and programming engineers as well as Sectrol’s monitoring centre partners). The Security Monitoring Centre Operator additionally plays a pivotal role in coordinating, alarm responses, installations, faults and servicing work from the company’s head office in Ballarat.

Comprehensive and accurate record taking and proactive communication are also crucial to the success of this role.

Call volume and workflow can be influenced by many factors. The Security Monitoring Centre Operator therefore needs to be highly organised with the ability to work calmly under pressure and multitask.

Role

Proficient management and coordination of the monitoring alarm system; ensuring that agreed actions are completed for each customer for any breaches of security or agreed protection within the contracted timeframes

Communicating proactively with all relevant stakeholders including customers, internal resources and monitoring centre partners

Keeping the Sectrol’s monitoring system up to date with details of alarms, actions and customer details

Ensure OH&S; Policies are understood and implemented

Developing and maintaining proficiency in the use of the Patriot monitoring system

You must have a Certificate III in Security Operations together with a valid/current Victorian Private Security Licence which includes sub-section monitoring centre operator.

You will have at least twelve (12) months security monitoring experience using Patriot Systems.

You will also have competent to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook).
