CARPENTER (Lucas)

Employer: THIND HOMES PTY LTD Position: Carpenters (Full-time) Location: Lucas, VIC Annual Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation THIND HOMES PTY LTD is seeking skilled and reliable full time Carpenters to join our construction team in Lucas, Victoria. These are genuine full-time positions essential to the ongoing operations of the business and involve delivering high-quality residential construction and fit-out projects while maintaining strong workmanship standards and workplace safety. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood, timber, and other building materials according to specifications
- Constructing, installing, repairing, and renovating residential structures and fixtures including frameworks, floors, walls, roofs, doors, and window frames
- Reading and interpreting building plans, drawings, and technical specifications
- Installing fixtures and fittings including cabinetry, shelving, staircases, and door/window units
- Erecting and dismantling formwork for concrete structures where required
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance on existing structures and timber frameworks
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently
- Ensuring compliance with Australian building codes, regulations, and WHS requirements
- Inspecting construction sites to determine materials, dimensions, and installation requirements
- Collaborating with builders and other trades including plumbers and electricians
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment at all times
- Ensuring quality workmanship across all stages of construction
- Assisting with material estimation, ordering, and minimising waste Position Requirements:
- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant carpentry experience (residential construction preferred)
- Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, techniques, and construction methods
- Ability to read and interpret building plans and drawings
- Understanding of Australian building standards and WHS regulations
- Physically fit and able to perform manual construction work
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to long-term employment
