The Opportunity We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team at our Ballarat Head Office. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the timely and accurate collection of outstanding accounts, while supporting solid financial processes and delivering excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing financial accuracy with relationship management and wants to contribute to a purpose-driven organisation.

What You'll Be Doing
- Managing and monitoring debtor accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity
- Following up outstanding debts in line with credit management policies
- Processing invoices, statements, payments, journals and credit notes
- Conducting collections via phone, email and written correspondence
- Managing customer queries and resolving account discrepancies
- Negotiating payment plans and supporting dispute resolution
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of collection activity
- Supporting audits and continuous improvement initiatives within Finance Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency What We're Looking For
- Experience in an accounts receivable or similar finance role
- Understanding of accounting principles and credit/collection practices
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with a range of stakeholders
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Resilience and professionalism when handling difficult conversations
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central highly regarded)
- A collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Relevant qualifications in Business, Finance or a related field are preferred but not essential.
