Painter Blaster Operator (Ballarat)

We are currently seeking an experienced Painter Blaster Operator to join a leading industrial operation in Ballarat. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with abrasive blasting or industrial painting experience who also has strong technical aptitude and an interest in automation and robotics. Candidates with robotic welding or automated machinery experience are also encouraged to apply.

About the Role:

This position is focused on operating and setting up advanced robotic blasting equipment used to prepare new steel for industrial coating applications. The role combines:

- Robotic blasting operation and setup
- Programming and adjusting machine specifications
- Manual abrasive blasting where required
- Monitoring blast quality and production standards
- Working within large blast booths using high-pressure blasting equipment
- Troubleshooting and optimising automated blasting processes What We’re Looking For

- Previous Painter / Sandblaster experience
- Experience operating or programming robotic or automated machinery
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Ability to work in an industrial workshop environment
- Comfortable performing manual blasting duties
- Reliable attitude and strong work ethic Highly Regarded:
- Robotic welding experience
- Automation or machine programming exposure
