As a Senior Accountant (Contract), you will play a critical role in maintaining business continuity, supporting core accounting functions and contributing to system and process improvements. This is a hands-on, dynamic role suited to someone who thrives in change, enjoys problem-solving and values collaboration across a large organisation.## Your Responsibilities Financial reporting: support monthly and quarterly reporting, including P&L;, balance sheet and cash flow analysis Month-end close: perform reconciliations, accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate and timely reporting Audit & compliance: assist with year-end statutory reporting, audit processes and tax compliance activities Inventory & fixed assets: support accounting, controls and reconciliations across inventory and fixed asset registers Systems & ERP support: contribute to SAP S/4HANA implementation activities, testing and system improvements Process improvement: identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, controls and reporting timelines Business partnering: collaborate with stakeholders across the business to provide insights and support decision-making## What We Are Looking For### Must-have: CA/CPA qualification with post-qualified experience in a similar role Strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand accounting and tax requirements Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams### Nice-to-have: Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, S/4HANA, AS400 or similar) Exposure to system implementations or transformation projects Experience with inventory and fixed asset accounting Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability## Our Benefits Hybrid working that blends flexibility and connection: 2 WFH days, 2 flexible office days Wednesday compnay connection day Quarterly Life Leave – one paid day each quarter to recharge Personal development and career opportunities Access a wide range of wellbeing programs, including annual flu vaccinations, employee assistance program and holistic supportJoin Miele’s as a Senior Accountant (9 month Fixed Term Contract), you will play a critical role in maintaining business continuity, supporting core accounting functions and contributing to system and process improvements.
