As a Senior Accountant (Contract), you will play a critical role in maintaining business continuity, supporting core accounting functions and contributing to system and process improvements. This is a hands-on, dynamic role suited to someone who thrives in change, enjoys problem-solving and values collaboration across a large organisation.## Your Responsibilities Financial reporting: support monthly and quarterly reporting, including P&L;, balance sheet and cash flow analysis* Month-end close: perform reconciliations, accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate and timely reporting* Audit & compliance: assist with year-end statutory reporting, audit processes and tax compliance activities* Inventory & fixed assets: support accounting, controls and reconciliations across inventory and fixed asset registers* Systems & ERP support: contribute to SAP S/4HANA implementation activities, testing and system improvements* Process improvement: identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, controls and reporting timelines* Business partnering: collaborate with stakeholders across the business to provide insights and support decision-making## What We Are Looking For### Must-have: CA/CPA qualification with post-qualified experience in a similar role* Strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand accounting and tax requirements* Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams### Nice-to-have: Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, S/4HANA, AS400 or similar) Exposure to system implementations or transformation projects Experience with inventory and fixed asset accounting* Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability## Our Benefits Hybrid working that blends flexibility and connection: 2 WFH days, 2 adaptable office days + Wednesday compnay connection day* Quarterly Life Leave – one paid day each quarter to recharge* Personal development and career opportunities* Access a wide range of wellbeing programs, including annual flu vaccinations, employee assistance program and holistic supportJoin Miele’s as a Senior Accountant (9 month Fixed Term Contract), you will play a critical role in maintaining business continuity, supporting core accounting functions and contributing to system and process improvements.
