Position Title: Operations Cost Analyst and Logistics Planner Position Type: Regular
- Full time Requisition ID: 42315 About the role. Based in Ballarat (preferred) or Melbourne, and reporting to the Manager, AUS Operations, this role plays a dual part in our Supply Chain Operations team – combining cost analytics with hands‑on logistics planning support. You’ll ensure freight and storage costs are accurately reconciled, analysed, and optimised, while also providing operational backup to support on‑time delivery across the AU/NZ distribution network. What you’ll be doing.
- Reconcile and process freight and storage costs accurately in SAP
- Maintain and manage freight rates, fuel levies, and invoice accuracy
- Analyse logistics cost trends and identify savings opportunities using Power BI and Excel
- Support linehaul planning and deployment replenishment activities as required
- Investigate discrepancies and work with 3PL partners to resolve issues
- Generate insights and reporting to support operational and cost decision‑making
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and distribution
- Provide cross‑team support and operational coverage within the Distribution team What you’ll need to be successful.
- Strong experience working with SAP and Excel (advanced capability highly regarded)
- Experience analysing data and translating insights into practical actions
- Exposure to supply chain, logistics, freight, or distribution operations
- High attention to detail and a disciplined, process‑focused approach
- Ability to balance analytical work with operational, day‑to‑day support
- Clear communication skills and confidence working with internal teams and external partners About the team.
