Accounts Receivable Clerk (Ballarat)

We are now seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Ballarat-based team, supporting operations across our Ballarat, Derrimut, and Geelong depots. About the Role
- Prepare, issue, and distribute customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Monitor customer accounts and proactively follow up outstanding payments
- Maintain accurate debtor records and account reconciliations within Xero and internal systems
- Reconcile records between operational systems and customer portals
- Respond to customer billing and payment queries professionally and efficiently
- Liaise with internal departments regarding invoicing, job costing, and billing matters
- Support month-end accounts receivable reconciliations and reporting requirements
- Identify and escalate disputed or overdue accounts where required
- Assist in identifying unrecovered costs and opportunities to improve billing processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of accounts receivable systems and processes What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable or similar finance role
- Experience managing high-volume AR and debtor management
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in financial processing and data entry
- Experience with Visual Dispatch or similar software package is advantageous but not essential
- Experience within the transport, logistics, construction, or hire industry will be highly regarded
- Confident using accounting systems (experience with Xero highly regarded)
- Strong communication skills with a qualified and customer-focused approach
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Strong initiative with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Why Join Us?
