About the Role We are seeking a developing Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. This full time role focuses on geotechnical site investigations and reporting for residential and low-rise structural projects, with exposure to a broader range of engineering geology services. You will work closely with experienced engineers and engineering geologists, gaining hands-on experience in both field investigation and technical reporting, while developing the practical skills needed to build a long-term career in geotechnical consulting. Key Responsibilities As a developing Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for: Field Investigations & Site Work: o Assisting with geotechnical and geological field investigations, including site classifications, land capability assessments, landslip risk assessments, and related services. o Logging boreholes, test pits, and general site observations in accordance with company standards. o Participating in site inspections and construction observations as your experience develops. Technical Reporting: o Preparation of technical reports, including site classification and geotechnical investigation reports. o Communicating with internal team members, engineers, and occasionally clients or builders. o Supporting general project coordination tasks, including sample handling and data management. · Sound written and verbal communication skills
· The ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
