About the Role We are seeking a developing Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. This full time role focuses on geotechnical site investigations and reporting for residential and low-rise structural projects, with exposure to a broader range of engineering geology services. You will work closely with experienced engineers and engineering geologists, gaining hands-on experience in both field investigation and technical reporting, while developing the practical skills needed to build a long-term career in geotechnical consulting. Key Responsibilities As a developing Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for: Field Investigations & Site Work: o Assisting with geotechnical and geological field investigations, including site classifications, land capability assessments, landslip risk assessments, and related services. o Logging boreholes, test pits, and general site observations in accordance with company standards. o Participating in site inspections and construction observations as your experience develops. Technical Reporting: o Preparation of technical reports, including site classification and geotechnical investigation reports. o Communicating with internal team members, engineers, and occasionally clients or builders. o Supporting general project coordination tasks, including sample handling and data management. About You We are looking for someone who brings both technical competence and the right mindset. Ideally, you will have:
· A degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or Geotechnical/Civil Engineering
· A strong interest in geotechnical engineering and ground investigation work
· A practical mindset and willingness to get involved in hands-on fieldwork
· Sound written and verbal communication skills
· The ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
