About the role As a Assistant Manager at Choice The Discount Store, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in overseeing the day‐to‐day operations of the store. This is a full‐time position that requires strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for the retail industry. What you'll be doing Assisting in managing all aspects of store operations, including staffing, inventory, and financial performance. Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Leading, motivating, and developing a team of sales associates to maximise productivity and sales. Implementing and monitoring store policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards. Assisting in collaborating with regional and corporate teams to drive business growth and profitability. What we're looking for Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail management role. Previous experience in Discount, Department store or Supermarkets is essential. Strong merchandising skills. Solid leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to build robust relationships with customers. Proficient in computer use. Exceptional problem‐solving and decision‐making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Adaptability to changing business needs. Flexibility to work across the whole week as we are a 7 day trader.
