About the Role As a Systems Programmer at Kyndryl, you will shape the foundational technology that drives our world. Your work will involve developing, testing, and maintaining the software that controls an operating system, hardware, and other system software. Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain software for the operating system, hardware, and other system software.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure system reliability.
- Ensure the security of computer systems.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to design and implement cutting‑edge technology.
- Provide underlying mainframe operating‑system platform programming and DBDC subsystem programming support.
- Guide functional objectives, applying expert knowledge to solve complex problems.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis discussions for the products you work on.
- Provide ongoing technical and operational guidance to lead skilled work teams.
- Manage projects on a national or international level, defining objectives and resources.
- Influence people outside your department or function to shape the technology landscape. Qualifications
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, C, and C++.
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with operating systems (Linux, UNIX, or z/OS).
- Preferred: Experience with NetView / SysView, FTP, SFTP, Axway CFT, Connect: Direct, VIPA, DVIPA, etc., ideally in a complex GDPS workplace.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
