ABOUT THE ROLE Position Council is offering a outstanding opportunity for a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic individual to lead and coordinate Council’s Water and Wastewater Network Operations team. Reporting to the Coordinator Water and Wastewater, this position is responsible for the delivery of essential water and wastewater network services across the Ballina Shire. You will lead and motivate operational teams to provide safe, reliable and efficient services to the community, while ensuring works are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with Council standards and regulatory requirements. This hands-on leadership role offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence, support continuous improvement, and oversee the effective maintenance and availability of critical plant and equipment. - Relevant qualifications and previous experience in a relevant field.
- Proven knowledge of operations and maintenance practices for water and wastewater reticulation service delivery including sewer pump stations and water reservoirs.
- Knowledge of regulatory environment for delivery of water and wastewater services.
- Demonstrated sound knowledge of contract management and procurement.
- Demonstrated experience in and ability to manage and lead teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high level customer service.
- Proven experience in budget administration and project management. The rewards
- A salary range of $92,600 to $106,200 per annum (plus 12% superannuation), dependent upon experience, skills and qualifications. This is applicable to a 9 day fortnight work arrangement, and incorporates the payment of five hours of approved overtime per fortnight according to Council’s Annual Salary Agreement.
